Archives for the month of: March, 2011

one sunday afternoon not long ago, i decided to play tourist in my own backyard.  i threw my camera and wallet in my purse and set out on foot with no particular destination in mind.  after poking into a number of boutiques on the way, i wound up at powell’s where i proceeded to spend an ungodly amount of time perusing cookbooks and travel books.  then,  i headed to one of my favorite places in portland to take photos: ace hotel.  the hip lobby is connected to stumptown roasters on one side and clyde common restaurant and bar on the other.  hipster vibe abound.

the bar at clyde common.

i had the pleasure of having brunch with my dear friend, erin and her beautiful, cheery 8-month old daughter, hazel.  as you can see, she’s not at all camera shy.  the cuteness factor is off the charts with this one.  and she may even know it.  she was hamming it up for everyone in the restaurant.
